Docker Compose Deployment Guide

Deploy the stack with Docker Compose: the four containers, volume mounts, environment secrets, lifecycle commands and the health gate.

Verified against the checkout built for v2.2.4 · updated 20 Oct 2026

Overview

Docker Compose is the recommended production deployment method for AutoTelegramForward. It encapsulates all 4 microservices—Python Core, Go API Gateway, Rust Logger Engine, and Web Dashboard—in isolated containers connected via an internal bridge network.

Container Composition

atf-core (Python 3.12)

Runs Pyrogram client pool, MTProto event handlers, FilterEngine, Cleaner, and DurableQueue. Exposes gRPC port 50051.

atf-api (Golang 1.22)

High-concurrency HTTP API gateway for authentication, rule CRUD, and external webhooks. Exposes HTTP port 8080.

atf-logger (Rust 1.90)

Centralized structured logging service capturing audit logs and pipeline telemetry over gRPC port 50052.

atf-web (Dashboard)

Single-page React administrative management dashboard served over HTTP port 8088.

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Clone the Verified Repository

git clone https://github.com/Opselon/AutoTelegramForward.git
cd AutoTelegramForward

2. Configure Secrets and Tokens

cp .env.example .env
nano .env

Ensure the following essential variables are populated:

  • TELEGRAM_API_ID: Your integer API ID from my.telegram.org
  • TELEGRAM_API_HASH: Your 32-character API hash
  • TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKEN: Bot token from @BotFather
  • ADMIN_USER_ID: Your personal Telegram numerical user ID

3. Launch Container Fleet

docker compose up -d

4. Verify Health & Service Logs

# Verify container statuses
docker compose ps

# Check core logs
docker compose logs -f core

# Check API health
curl http://localhost:8080/health
